Typical day- Josh is 13 and goes to secondary school. He wakes up at 7:30 to get to school for 9. He has time in the morning to watch tv and he usually chooses to watch Cartoon Network. He is studying art, English, maths, sciences, german and humanities. He finishes school at 3:35 and 2 days a week has sports clubs after school. When he gets home from school he will oftern watch cartoons but when the weather is nice he will go out and play with his friends but he will need to be back for dinner. If he can he will choose to watch tv after dinner at around 7pm. At this time he may choose to watch non cartoons like wildlife programmes but will still check Cartoon Network to see what is on. He will go to bed around 10pm on a school night and 11:30 latest on a weekend

Hobbies and interests- He enjoys sports and playing with friends. Sports cliubs take up 4-6 hours of his week every week. He also does a lot of drawing and art at home as a hobbie. His favourite food is peperoni pizza and chips He like Hip hop music and is interested in current hip hop culture.

 

Spending Power- He gets and allowance from his parents which is £25 a month and he has a paper round which he get £30  a month from. So his spending power is partly reliant on his parents but he can also afford to pay for things he is interested in and his parents wouldn’t be willing to buy for him.

 

Typical Media consumption-

He watches, on average 30 minutes of cartoons in the morning and 1 – 3 hours of TV after school. He also plays on his play station. He likes games like fifa 13 and Call Of Duty Modern Warfare and enjoys the social multiplayer aspect to it.

The animation will appeal to him because it has similar astatic appearance as the other media he likes. For example the 2d animations on cartoon network and the graphic styles of b-boy characters which is a big influence to the style of the cartoon. The comedy is specifically tailored for his age group meaning he will find it humorous as well as entertaining.

Idea for episode

It is Perry's first day in the delivery job, to planet. On the way he encounters some criminal aliens who attempt to board the spaceship. Perry manages to avoid them but his ship gets damaged so he needs to stop at the next planet to get it fixed. He then figures out a way to fix it and delivers the pizza. When he gets there, to his surprise his boss is waiting there. He was trying to test Perry and he passed.

Intergalactic pizza delivery boy and his dog encounter a  heard of space buffalo on course to their destination. One buffalo comes through the wind screen and separated from the heard. Perry makes it his mission to return the calf to its home planet

After a surprisingly smooth journey Perry's ship reaches the puzzle planet. Perry and his dog have no idea of the mind bending labyrinths and tasks that await them just to reach their customer who has ordered 20 peperoni's. Time is in short supply to make the delivery in time

Perry notices the spaceship is running low on olive oil. There isnt enough to get back home on and the closest available source is in the space rocks found on the planet Olea. Which has been abandoned for hundreds of years. There are an alien species that now inhabit the planet and they keep olive oil as a precious substance used to keep their flaky skin soft. Their reserves are kept in vaults underground. Perry hatches a plan to distract the guard and then steal a 40oz bottle of the stuff. He re-fuels the ship and gets on his way.

Perry is tricked by a mystery prank caller. And when each journey is thousands of light years this is no small detore. He takes the day off and goes in search of the mystery pranker. The descovery of who it is a surprise and leads to more questions then answers

On route to the planet deltron 3030 The ship is hijacked by a group of pirate dog nappers. Perry's beloved dog is stolen by the kidnappers. Perry spots that one of the spacwe criminals has left behind an empty packet of sweets. He regognises the packet that is only available from one planet, the planet Prmalink. Perry  travels there to find Salami has been taken in my the king of Prmalink who is using him as his personal pet. Perry makes a pretend Salami out of sticks and clay he finds. All the inhabitancies of Prmalink have very bad eyesight so his plan is successful

Perry and salami decide to take a day of and go to the biggest intergalactic hiphop festival in the galaxy. The Gully Gang Festival on the planet BoomBap. Perry decides to have a go at a rap battle contest and is surprised at how well he does. He gets to the final and battles a inter planetary Rap God called Ol' dirty Methodwan. Perry wins the compotition and takes home a prize of 6000

P.2 REGULATORY BODIES

TE BBFC is the British Board of Film Cencorship,They classify and censor films within the United Kingdom it was established in 1920 by members of the film industry. In 1909 the cinematography act was introduced because of the out brake of fires in cinemas that were quickly converted  into cinemas from shops or in fair grounds. This meant their was regulation in cinema so it allowed for film cencorship. Film makers were weary that cencorship, if controled by, the government, for example would be unregulated and economically damaging. So they started their own organisation with its own form of regulation.

- UNIVERSAL-suitable for all ages. Nothing deamed unsuitable for children.
 -PARENTAL GUIDANCE- Some scenes may be unsuitable for children but may contain mild sex/drug/violence references. Shouldn't disturb children aged 8 or over. Parents are advised to check the film before the children watch it.
-12A-(Cienema only) Thought to be unsuitable for very young children but it is suitable for a child under the age of 12 to go accompanied by an adult. They may contain subbtle and descrite sexual, soft drugs, discrimination, violence and nudity
-12-(Home Media only) Only suitable for children aged 12 or under. Its illegal to knowingly sell a 12 film, or game to somone under the age of 12. The guildlines to content are the same as 12A
-15-only suitable to people aged 15 or over. Its illegal to sell cinema tickets or a copy of a film of this rating to anyone under 15.  these may contain adult themes, hard drugs, regular use of foul language and limited use of very strong language, strong violence and strong sex references, and nudity without graphic detail.
-18- in this certficate oul language in not limited drug references and detailed sex references and nutidy are aload hard drugs are generally allowed. Real sex scenes are usually allowed if not overly graphic and justified by the context
-Restricted 18- Can only be shown at licenced adult cinemas and licenced sex shops. These will always contain explicist pornography and it is illegal for any films of this rating to be sold to anyone under 18.It is also illegal for these films to be sold to anyone over the internet or mail order

The Human Rights Act 1988, The licencing Act, and video recording act.
The board is an independant government organisation that is controlled by a council of management selected rom the leaders of the industry. The local authority have the final say in what is allowed to be shown in local cinemas but thye usually accept th ruling of th BBFC

Caroline
Caroline, contiversially was given a PG rating. This is because of the content. It although, wholely complying with the description of a PG film. Many children found it scary and the bbfc had many complaints from parents. The film was classed as 'generally suitable but some scenes may be unsuitable to young children' This is why it was classed as PG because it was left to the consideration of the parents if it was suitable for their chidlren
